Volunteer Start Dates
Available all Year Round
KVN runs volunteer programs in Kenya all year-round in the areas of Environmental Conservation, Medical-Health Program, Teaching in local Schools, Children program in Orphanages and day care centers, Farming and HIV-AIDS Programs.
Volunteers should be 18 to 70 years of age. Children below the age of 18 who wish to volunteer in our program should have permission from their parents. Children below the age of 16 must be accompanied by one or both of their parents to our program. Applications should be received at least two weeks in advance to organize a volunteer work placement and accommodation for the volunteers. Volunteers who wish to combine their volunteering experience with Safaris can do so and this can be organized during your placement.
Volunteers pay volunteer fees to help sustain and cater for local projects and programs that KVN support in local communities. Your volunteer fees enable us to directly contribute to the goals and needs of your placement. The resources within which KVN is working with are very much limited and cannot support your costs for meals, accommodation, transportation and supervision.
Volunteering is quite intensive and volunteers are advised to take short breaks during their volunteer time to do sightseeing and Safaris.
